In L'Escala, south of the bay of Roses, Funtastic's sailing school offers windsurfing courses as well. It is maybe true that windsurfing requires lots of patience, dedication and a certain degree of sacrifice to start with. But it is also true that when this first step is done, we'll be in condition to enjoy one of the most pleasant water sports.

Beginner, initiated or expert; interested on all around or fun boards, in our school you'll find all the necessary to learn and practice windsurfing in ideal conditions. You can rent the equipment -always adapted to the needs of everyone-, take private lessons or inscribe yourself in our collective weekly courses for all ages and levels. You'll find us on the beach of Riells, southeast of the town of l'Escala.

Funtastic offers windsurfing courses initially build on six progressive levels: A, B, C, D, E & F. The first three being for basic initiation and the second three for advanced initiation. Once over the phase of initiation, the windsurfer is ready to join the FUN! of the funboards. There are another three levels of funboard courses: basic, advanced and expert.

Each of those windsurfing courses takes place in lessons of one and a half hours. After each lesson the pupil can keep the equipment for another hour to practice on his own. The advanced & experts can also book private lessons in order to work on specific tacklings.

The beginners equipment is mainly composed of HiFly boards. Steady and easy to handle they provide fun and are perfect for learning. They can be equipped -depending on the wind strength, own level of expertise and weight- with different rigs from 2,5 to 5,5 square meters. This equipment is available in our school at the beach of "Riells", sheltered from wind and waves.

Towards the center of the bay of Roses conditions are perfect for the expert windsurfers. For them we have a variety of more sophisticated stuff with many different riggs and short boards -lengths between 2.60 to 3.60 mts.- mostly from HiFly, Fanatic and Alpha.
